In this verse, Jesus is speaking and showing the authority and power of the oneness of God who coexists eternally in three distinct persons. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit, are all coequal in eternal power. Jesus has always revealed the secret that He is one with God and the Spirit, and has been present since the beginning of time (John 1). This can be hard to comprehend, but it leaves me in awe that such an almighty God loves us and will help us understand! Before I became a Christian, I was religious and desperate for my prayers to be heard, but wasn’t praying to God alone. When I began following Him and directing my prayers to our Father, I experienced incredible freedom and ease. Now, as an evangelist, I point people to Jesus alone as a means to know the one true God. This is the only way to have real, abundant life.

Through Haggai’s equipping, I experienced growth in ways I previously though wasn’t possible. Knowing that I am God’s child and called to end Gospel poverty gave me confidence. God will always accomplish His mission and I am in it.
