I n 2013, my wife and I were in Israel. The Garden Tomb was a memorable site. At the entrance was the glorious inscription: “He is not here; He is risen.” These words resonate throughout the Synoptic Gospels. The body of Jesus was no longer in the tomb. Like a butterfly out of its discarded chrysalis, Jesus emerged from the grave. The empty tomb is the infallible proof that Jesus is alive. The resurrection is the central touchstone of Christianity. A promise well kept. The foundation of Christianity stands sure. The power that brought Jesus back to life is still available. It has the capacity to bring to life all those spiritually dead in their trespasses. For in Him, we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Eph. 1:7). The resurrection of Jesus holds the eternal hope of life beyond the grave. Hallelujah! You can experience the power of His resurrection today as you yield in total surrender to Him. Surely, because He lives, we shall live also (John 14:19).

The equipping I received from Haggai has created in me an enduring passion for the Kingdom, particularly for lost souls. The deepening conviction is there is no alternative to Jesus. Yes, He remains the answer to our sin-sick World.
