There is a story of an Ethiopian wise man. The man lived in complete poverty, to the extent his bosses forced him to yoke together with an ox to plow a plot of land. The visitor asked the wise man, “What is life to you?” The wise man replied, “All this will pass away.” After five years, the visitor came again and asked for the wise man. They told him, “He is now a very rich man.” He visited the wise man again, and he asked him, “What is life to you?” The wise man replied, “All this will pass away.” After another five years, the visitor came again and asked for the wise man. He was informed that the wise man was now the king of the land. He asked him again, “What is life to you?” The wise man who was now the king of the land replied, “All this will pass away.” After 10 years, the visitor traveled to the wise man’s tomb, and on the tomb it was written, “Even this will pass away.” Albert Einstein said it clearly: “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” Let us focus more on advancing God’s Kingdom than on our wealth or possessions.
