Being a wife, mom, minister, and working woman, I often find myself burned out. However, this verse gives me immense strength and power during those times. Jesus came to live a life of sacrifice, and He died to give life to others. I would love to follow His example. Are you tired and weary? Take communion by faith, and the supernatural strength of God will invade your spirit and give strength and wholeness to your body. Jesus showed us an example here by taking the bread and giving thanks before breaking it to give away to the disciples. I believe God calls us to have close fellowship with Himself by identifying Himself as the bread — the bread that came down from Heaven to fill you and me so we will never be hungry. God wants us to remember the sacrifice He made for us by accepting Him as our personal Savior so that Jesus — the bread — can give us eternal life. And we in turn can share the Good News with our friends and families. Jesus gave Himself to the world, and we, the body of Christ, are called to give ourselves to teach, preach, heal people, and to end Gospel poverty.
