We live in difficult times, and it is tough for many to trust someone else. For this reason, in the face of adversity, many people prefer to put their trust in what they can see, touch, buy, or own. Many base their trust on the amount in their bank account, the material assets they possess, the power they wield, their job, or even the ministry they do at church. To David, the shepherd who had fought lions and bears, it was clear in WHOM and not WHAT, he had placed his trust. The psalmist did not worry about who persecuted him because God was his refuge; he did not fear if everything around him trembled or all those around him were against him, because God was his fortress. Recognizing that the Lord was his God, David admitted God was in control of his life. And you, who do you trust?

Haggai has renewed in my life the urgency to take advantage of the time and share the Gospel of salvation of Jesus. I FEEL LIKE I READ THIS IN ONE OF THE AUG (OR JULY) DEVOS – DID HE DO ONE FOR THAT MONTH?
