Giving thanks is an ongoing process. It is a picture of utter reliance on somebody else. Why give thanks? Because the Lord is good. He desires the best for us. His plans are perfect because He knows what’s best for us. A state of steadfastness is a state of great stability. We can rely on His steadfast love in good times and in bad. He is there when we need Him the most. There are moments in each of our lives when everything seems so dark. We cannot even see the path on which we walk. When that happens, giving thanks can keep us going. Remember God’s steadfast love endures forever, and you’ll be able to endure anything! I remember the time when my 13-year-old daughter was admitted to the hospital for dengue hemorrhagic fever. Her condition progressed from bad to worse. The diagnosis was the worst-case scenario. What kept me from panic and a breakdown? It was the reality that God is good to me and my family. He gave his only Son to die on the cross for all our sins. And as we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior we are given eternal life and eternal security in Heaven. We must be on our knees and accept God’s gift of salvation in Jesus. If you haven’t done it yet, I do urge you to do it before it’s too late.

My Haggai Leader Experience taught me that I need to do more to share the Good News. I realized that every avenue we choose, every path we trod, and every ounce of influence we have — all are platforms to bring Jesus to the marketplace. And I sense the urgency of such a mission today as much as ever.
