There are a lot of expectations when a new team member or leader joins an organization. Employees and management eagerly look forward to a new beginning for the organization. The board members or investors have taken great efforts and spent time recruiting the right applicant for the job, which is pivotal for the organization and its stakeholders. The day when the new leader joins, the public relations team is busy with announcements in print media, on social and digital platforms, and in newsletters. Whatever the condition of the organization, the new leader is ready to roll up his sleeves and set things right — because he is called and he has been chosen. In our Scripture, John the Baptist is excited to announce the new leader who is ready to take on sin, the key challenge of the world. Creation was eagerly waiting for this public announcement that its Savior had arrived to battle on its behalf to overcome Satan. What a joy to have a leader like Jesus who provides the sole solution to the core problem the world is facing: sin. Let’s thank God for His kindness — He has given HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON for our redemption.
