One Saturday, I led our church members at an outreach event in the Central District of Hong Kong. Our hearts broke when we had many rejections from foreigners, locals, and even from our fellow Filipinos in Hong Kong as we presented the Gospel. We knew we were introducing them to Christ, who would gladly give them eternal life. We went back to the church somewhat discouraged because only a few responded positively to the Gospel message. As I pondered upon it, I found comfort and correction in the words of Christ — my responsibility is only to share the message of the Gospel and ask people to make a decision to believe in Jesus, but it is the Father who will draw them to Christ so they will believe in Him. What a relief we have when we know our role in ending Gospel poverty as we share with others.

The motto that we have to “End Gospel Poverty” during our Haggai Leadership Experience has been my challenge to share the message of the Gospel in my place of ministry.
