The Bible says Solomon was the richest king in his time. But despite all his glory and wealth, how was this great king not better dressed than lilies? Lilies don’t do anything to maintain their beauty and splendor. In the neighborhood where I grew up, there was a musician who introduced the notion of “La Sape” (an acronym of Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes. literally “society of ambiance-makers and elegant people”). Young Sapeurs wear impressive, luxurious shoes and high-end outfits. Most of them worry when they can’t afford a coveted outfit. Whatever our situation, humans are always worried about something and want to have control of our lives. Jesus Christ teaches in the Bible that we don’t have power over our lives. Only God has this power and can assure us He provides for our daily bread. He is Jehovah Jireh, “God will provide.” As a caring Father, He will provide all our needs as we express them to Him and believe He can do so. Instead of complaining, let’s go to our wonderful Father who can provide for our needs according to His will.

The Haggai Leader Experience helped me to become more engaged in my church. At church, I started in the evangelism department, and then they sent me to be a counselor for women, but now I am a trainer and preacher. I’m not ashamed to share the Gospel with people I meet along the road or when I go door-to-door. So, I feel more confident in the Lord and myself to work for His Kingdom. It’s easier for me to give space to the Holy Spirit to inspire every thing I initiate, say, or do in any situation.
