I love this passage. It is so very inspiring and igniting. This is all about gratitude and faith. It is said by Jesus to a Samaritan who was the only one out of 10 who returned to thank Him after they all had been cleansed from leprosy. The Samaritan was a foreigner, but his heart turned out to be grateful, while others who were not strangers did not return to thank Jesus for their healing. This foreigner “threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him” (v. 16). It reminds me of the story of the prodigal son, whose heart was broken and he returned to his father. We all were saved through our faith, and very easily we can forget about that when we encounter difficult situations. Our heart may become unresponsive to the Lord as we take our salvation for granted. I hear the voice of Jesus when I throw myself at His feet in gratitude and obedience: “Rise and go on your way; your faith has made you well.” My faith in Him alone, just like the Samaritan’s faith, can make me well, and I can rise from any depression and devastation in my life and go. My faith is based on my gratitude to my Father, who has saved me and cleansed me from disbelief.

I returned after Haggai in November 2010, and I was appointed RR — Eurasia in February 2011. I had to make a decision fast and leave my good relocation business behind, by God’s will, and I am grateful He strengthened my faith when I obeyed. I am blessed to end Gospel poverty with my brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world as I am involved in the largest and most impactful ministry.
