I am so inspired by this verse. Sometimes we think we are better than others, know more than others, and are holier than others. How many times do we act like the Pharisees and others in the Bible who denied Him? I have to ask myself: Do I keep my Christianity to myself so others will not notice? Am I willing to meet someone on his own turf and share the Good News of the fullness of life that can only be found in Jesus? He went out of His way to spend time with people like Zacchaeus. Jesus seeks people far more intensely than people ever seek Him. He saves people who acknowledge their sinfulness and look to Him for mercy. As we know, our Lord seeks the sinner and saves the lost. We are to bring others to Him, so they can find mercy and help. Like Zacchaeus, anyone who has experienced the power and the saving grace of Jesus can have the assurance of eternal life right now. Jesus came in and transformed Zacchaeus’ life. And He can do the same for everyone. Do I bring others to Him?

Now I feel more confident when sharing the Word of God with people. The most important thing is God used Haggai to bring me to be more humble and accept people just the way they are.
