One of the most demanding jobs that the Lord brought me was visiting remote towns in my country, Colombia, to teach young people how to start businesses from a Christian perspective. In a town called Mistrató — 12 hours by bus from my city — I met people who were in great need, but who also taught me something essential. When my work was done, several of them raised money and gave me a mug with the name of their village on it. I still keep it and every time I use it I remember the importance of giving what cannot be stolen or destroyed: gratitude, love, and dedication. What they gave me was not a simple cup, but a memory that I treasure because it reminds me that there is much to give that is priceless. How much of yourself do you give to the needy?
