I was on my journey from my hometown in Medan, Indonesia, to Jakarta. As I boarded, I noticed a man talking happily and cheerfully, greeting everybody. When he arrived at his seat, he immediately offered to help a woman put her bag into overhead storage. He was not a very tall guy, and he had to climb the chair to be able to put the bag inside the compartment. In my heart, I assumed this man was a Christian. We ended up sitting next to each other, and I learned he was not a Christian, but a very good Muslim. I began to feel badly for thinking only Christians could be kind. The Lord reminded me that man looks at what’s on the outside, but He sees a person’s soul. That Muslim man is now a close friend. I have the chance to show Him Christ’s love every time we share a coffee together. The story narrated by John regarding Jesus’ conversation with the crowds reminds us not to judge others. They judge Jesus as one who violated Torah, forgetting that they, themselves, were not doers of the Law. It is so important for us to remember that Jesus came for those who are not saved!

Haggai has changed my paradigm on seeing the ministry as Jesus did. Through Haggai International, I had the boldness to start my own church and send people to train and build churches in many parts of Indonesia.
