Hunger wreaks havoc on most of the world’s population, especially among children. Argentina has the capacity to produce food for 400 million people. However, with just over 45 million inhabitants, 40% of the population lives at poverty levels, and almost 10% live in destitution, meaning they cannot meet their basic needs. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.” He offers Himself as a source of life for everyone. His statement transcends material terms and focuses on the One who satisfies all our needs. Jesus is the spiritual bread sent from Heaven to give us eternal life. Those who eat it will no longer be hungry or thirsty. This spiritual hunger, which is the fruit of sin, cannot be mitigated or satisfied by what the world has in store for us. Only Jesus, the true bread of life, can satisfy the hungry soul who is willing to receive this kind of food.
