A story is told of a man who bought a desktop computer and started using the disk drive as a coffee mug holder and broke it in no time. The moral of the story: If you don’t know the use of something, you are bound to abuse it. Jesus wants us to know Him as the Son of God, not just as a miracle worker. He has prepared a feast for us, but we offer excuses. He wants us to be servant leaders, but we want to dominate and rule. Are we bound by our selfishness? Nicodemus sought Christ and was born again. The Samaritan woman was waiting for the Messiah and Jesus met and set her free. Zacchaeus saw His love and obeyed. Jesus declared him saved. Even the thief on the cross was set free. Let us discover Jesus — the truth — and we will be set free.
