Having made the decision to follow Jesus Christ, there should be no looking back or moving hesitantly, and no procrastination. Put first things first. We should not let the things of this world get in the way. Stand fast in God’s service and be sure to keep faith till the end. There is the need for focus, a determination to follow Christ through to the end. Paul exhorted us to “run that you may obtain.” The security situation in our nation, Nigeria, and even around the world, with kidnappings, bandits, terrorist attacks, burning of churches, increasing godlessness, rising cost of living, and post-pandemic difficulties are affecting church attendance, and this is enough to cause men’s hearts to fall from fear. We must keep moving forward, holding the fort, not looking back, knowing God will help us endure to the end. Keep hope alive in God!
