These words became real to me when I had to take my son to India for a medical procedure. Our son was diagnosed with severe scoliosis when he was 16, something which had greatly affected him and eroded his self-esteem. Such conditions in Africa are attributed to witchcraft or ancestral curses. I, however, chose to believe God has the final word in my life, and nothing can come my way without his permissive will. Many friends sympathized with us, but were limited with what they could do. I shared my situation as a prayer request in Bible Study Fellowship, and God provided a friend who had gone through a similar situation with her daughter. The encouragement gave me confidence to visit India for my son’s treatment. God was with us in India, not only to encourage us, but indeed also to restore our son’s health and redeem our situation for His glory.

After my Haggai Leader Experience, I am able to see every situation as an avenue for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
