Jesus spoke these words after prophesying about the temple’s destruction. He warned of false prophets, wars, earthquakes, famine, persecution of the faithful, quarrels between brothers, and tribulation. All this would mean the end of the times. This would be the sign of Christ’s return. Are you persevering in prayer and attuned to the Lord Jesus, steadfast in the Scriptures? If you do not know Him, there is still a room in the Kingdom of God. Repent of your sins, and confess Christ as your Savior, handing over all your burdens to Him. He cares for you. Do not leave the decision for tomorrow — the Lord will come soon. If you are already a disciple of Christ, do not worry about the timing of His second coming. Persevere in your efforts, resting in God’s sovereignty. Although we will be hated by the world, we can remain faithful in the power of the Holy Spirit, preaching the Gospel all the time. None of the Lord’s words will pass in vain, and none of His purposes can be thwarted.
